Yep. It’s been over 6 years and I’m married to a great woman who definitely brings out the best in me, yet I realize that I’m still in pain because of what I let my ex do to me. It’s not just her fault – I let her hold me down to the brink of depression. So happy I’m 95% out of the woods.
Good for you! It’s great that you’ve found somebody else. It’s also okay to not be your best all the time. After all, people always get lost in the woods.

Yeah exactly. To some extent that relationship is still bringing out the worst in me, which is basically my entire blog.
